It is not a rumor. The next citizenship ceremony will be March ending or April and yet to be confirmed by the Minister of Justice. Forget FEB 13 ceremony, it ain't gonna happen.

ABOUT 230 IRISH emigrants are expected to formally gain Australian citizenship tomorrow during ceremonies to mark that country’s national holiday.

Citizenship ceremonies are relatively common on January 26, Australia Day, with a total of 14,000 people from various countries expected to formally receive citizenship tomorrow.

Next ceremony will be on the first week of June 2013. A friend of mine works for a man whos working for naturalisation. He got this information today. Most probably 3th of june. Also they will inform all applicants next on the first decade of April about the date.
I hope this will help

I think the date is wrong because 3rd June is a bank holiday. Normally ceremonies are conducting on working days. I believe the next ceremony will be end of April or before mid May.

I did not understand what is "first decade of April".

Hi,I got invitation letter from INIS on 01/03/13 without mentioning any ceremony date and advised me to submit the fee 950 and the documents.

Serph - You've highlighted a very valid point(ref.3rd June)! Thanks

Hi,
I was advised that the next citizenship ceremony will be in May 2013. However, the GNIB officer in Burgh Quay who told me this could not confirm me the date when I was there in person,as it is not finalised yet. So look out for the date in May which should be announced in the next 1-2 weeks.

My queation is" if the citizenship ceremony doesnot take place before july than how we suppose to extend our visas??
