Yes, i saw that too. i submitted my ICT permit for long stay employment visa on 7th Feb. Let's see if they stick to that timeline. The staff at VFS Bangalore said it takes 8 weeks for the visa to come by. Not sure who is right here.

Hi,

I'm little confused on timelines mentioned in the website on Join family visas.

On the first table, it is mentioned that it is 6 weeks for join family and there is another table below especially for Join family visa wherein it is stated as within 6 months.

Can anyone throw some light on this?

TIA

6weeks is for CSWP holder's families if the permit holder is already in Ireland. For others, it is 6 months.

Hi Bala,

Thank you for the reply.

My friend who has CSWP and been in Ireland applied for the join family visa for his family June 2018.

The application is processed and a decision is given in December 2018. It shows that the processing time is 6 months for them.

Please comment on the above scenario. Is that a rare case?

TIA

April to September - there are many study visas so other visas get delayed.

I guess. Personally, I will be applying for my wife in April as she is already in Ireland on family visit visa. I am hoping I will get it in 6 weeks. so you can definitely hope to get it in 6 weeks if you are applying before April.

The scenario has been improved just now. Not applicable to the old applications. The delay with the old applications was because of the backlog of the student applications. I hope the situation will be fine this year until May End.

how many calendar days it has taken to process applications for our most common visas in the 3 months to 1 February 2019. For applications that take more than 90 days we have rounded that number to the nearest month. For example, if applications take 110 days, we say it takes 4 months.
