For anyone who's recently been on unpaid maternity leave (or who's other half has) this article has some very important information about applying for prsi credits to protect your state pension. The Bank don't automatically inform the Department of Social Protection, so you have to remember to get on to HR about it yourself, if you are even aware of it!
There's a time limit up to four years after your return to work to apply.


Also helpful when you take parental leaves, you can claim credits on your state pension. Please check the above article.
