Loosing a job

Post by liffey » Fri Jun 07, 2019 11:59 am

Hi

I've been told that the project I'm working is about to close and there won't be any billability.

I might loose the job.
I'm on critical skill employment permit.

What is the next process?
Please help me?

While attending the interview should I tell that I do not require work permit?

Once I get the offer can I apply for work permit?

How long it might take?

Regards

Hi,

Please ask your current employer to inform the DBEI that your job is made redundant. You and the company should send the CSEP to the DBEI if they requested. You will be allowed to stay and search new job for 6 months. Once you find a new job, your new employer or you can apply for the CSWP and you can work there.

If you are attending the interview, please let them know that you need the visa sponsorship. You cannot use your existing WP.
