Indian Citizen (with UK visa) to migrate to Ireland

Post by sitharaj » Sun Apr 07, 2019 7:22 am

Hello members of the Forum,

Good morning to all !

We are looking to migrate to the Republic of Ireland.

Me and my child are British Citizens and my wife is an Indian Citizen ( with UK visa until July 2019 ).

May I ask the experts in this group to suggest on the below:

1. The suitable visa category for my wife to be able to work for any client of her choice in Ireland.
2. The suitable visa category for my wife to be able to live in Ireland.
3. Best time suitable for my child to get an admission in a school ( she will be 4 years in September 2019).

She doesn't hold any family residence card and since she has been in India for the past 1.5 years, I suspect if she can apply it whilst in India.

Any inputs in this regard are much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Satya

Hello KGOEL,

Thanks a lot for your reply.
Could you please suggest if this "4EU FAM" visa stamp be obtained by my wife, while she is in India ?

Thanks
Satya

Hello Kgoel et al,

From various sources, I gathered the below information.
Please confirm:

1.
My wife has to be in Ireland on a short stay visa first visa ( typically a 90 day visa ) as per - http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Fa ... s+citizens

2.
However, once my wife is in Ireland, we shall get the biometrics done at the GNIB (Garda National Immigration Bureau Ireland).

3.
She can process for the "4EU FAM" based on my citizenship status.

Thanks,
Satya
