Stamp 4 less then 20 months

Post by nareshj1256 » Sun Mar 31, 2019 3:45 pm

Hello guys,

I need your help my critical skills expires on 8th June and i will not be completing 20 months to be applicable for stamp 4. My 20 months complete on 18th June. I was thinking of getting 3 months extensions from garda and complete the remaining days but i asked DBEI this:

"I have heard people going to Garda and getting a 3 month visa extension on
expiry of there critical skills and visa. Then completing the remaining
days required for stamp 4 on that. Then they get the stamp 4 letter on that extended permission after the
expiry of there critical skills.

Is this possible?"

and this is what dbei said:

"no"

So guys is it not possible to get stamp 4 on 3 month extension?

Apply for Stamp 4 letter almost 2 weeks before completing 20 months and then get extension mentioning Stamp 4 letter is in progress.
Afterwards go for Stamp 4 stamping.

You can also discuss situation with your employer and if they renew work permit then there is no need of extension.

do they still accept 20 months? I've looked at the processing times and it says:
"NB - A request for a Support Letter for a Critical Skills Employment Permit holder seeking a Stamp 4 cannot be processed until the permit holder has completed 21 months working in the State."

Did they revert back to 21 months now?

Hi All,

I am due to receive my stamp4 and I am getting married in the month of October. Will we able to apply for dependant visa immediately??. From the posts I can see that since I have served in Stamp1 for 2 years, I can consider applying right away. If so, what would be the processing time?, how long should we wait until we receive the dependant visa?.

Please any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Aravind Krishnan
