Stamp 3 holders (Spouses) don't need the work permit to work in Ireland

Post by balac_m » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:27 am

The Government is introducing changes to make it easier for partners and spouses of workers from outside Europe who are employed in Ireland under Critical Skills Employment Permits to also get work here. :)

More info here --- > https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2019/0 ... vQ7Oj6iSt0

Official Announcement ------> https://dbei.gov.ie/en/What-We-Do/Workp ... t-updates/

on INIS Website ---> http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/re ... it-holders

FAQ ------> http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/faq-spou ... r-csep.pdf

On 1 April 2019, a new preclearance policy will be introduced for the non-EEA de facto partners of CSEP holders. Both visa and non-visa required nationals will be required to seek permission to reside in this State as the family member of a CSEP holder prior to their arrival in the State. The new procedure will reduce processing times and provide clarity for these family members. Eligible de facto partners will be granted residence on Stamp 1 conditions without the need to obtain a DPSEP from DBEI.

Spouses for the Stamp4 holders can also get this benefit

Thanks to Stamp 3 association and other peoples involved !!

No official news/statement on spouses of Stamp 4 holders who were previously on CSEP in any of the articles or DJEI website. Hopefully they fall within the same category as well...

Anyone with more information regarding this?

As per one of the member's statements in the Stamp 3 association, Yes it is applicable to Stamp 4 spouses as well. Seems someone called the DBEI and got the confirmation.

They have to go to the GNIB and get the stamp changed from Stamp 3 to Stamp 1.

If you hold CSWP previously and now you are holding the stamp 4 ; then your spouse will be eligible to get stamp 1G.

The people who hold the CSWP skills are high in demand. And to keep them in the country, Ireland is giving them some perks. It's all based on supply and demand.

and do you still think education matters? Education is just a tool that helps you to gain knowledge. I know a lot of people who are millionaires without any proper school education. It is all depending upon the efficiency, learning capabilities, smartness and the perseverance, not the education alone.

For general work permit, you have to wait for one year before applying for the spouse visa. Also, the spouse cannot work unless if you are in the critical skill work permit.

Recently i got Stamp 1G based on my hubby's CSEP but it is valid for a year. They told me I have to renew every year. Should we need to pay 300 again for the next year. Did anyone else got 1G stamp based on CSEP

You have to renew it once in a year and you have to pay 300 for next year.
