Moving to Ireland from India with baby

Post by rohanjain87 » Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:28 am

Hi There,

I would be moving to Ireland for a tenure of 1 year with my 5 month old child. In India, vaccinations are provided at an interval of around 3 months. If I move to Ireland, how will I able to continue with indian vaccinations, because Ireland will have its own different schedule. Since, I will have to get back to India after 1 year, partial vaccinations of india and ireland will not work either.

Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes! It’s different and most of the vaccines we got in India is not available here. Better to check with your paediatrician. Send the link below to the paediatrician and check

It is same vaccination schedule with small changes. Some of optional vaccination in India is mandatory here. Like meningitis B and C. Similarly some are not part of vaccination in India but compulsory here.

Check with Ur doctors and link provided on above post.

But overall not much difference. Can be managed if planned properly.

KGOEL,
Did you pay for the vaccines here? Are they not provided for free? I'm sorry, I moved to Dublin recently. My basic understanding is that medical facilities are free especially for children.

I am planning to get my family early next year and I am also looking for information on vaccination. My child would be 9 months by then.
