Re: Not a good feeling @ Home Search

Its difficult. Been there. You can try west. Clonsilla, Coolmine - Not fantastic places. But livable.
Or try even further south- GreyStones perhaps.
I have a friend commuting to the city from Leixlip. He stays close to the station.

Re: Any Indian restaurants serving good south indian food

There is no East Ham or Wembley here . Most Indian restaurants are not "Indian" per se like in UK. They are run by Pakistanis or Bangladeshis. Forget about south Indian food. You might want to try Iyer's at Cork. Disclaimer: Never been there. I have also had food at Rasam. The food tasted nice. But ...

Re: Critical Skills EP - Possible with Diploma?

To each his own, but why do you want to move from Singapore ? If I were you, I wouldn't . I have lived in Singapore for considerable time. Weigh your options well man. Talk to a lot of people who are living in Ireland before you make a move. Singapore wipes the floor clean on a number of points. 1. ...

Re: Entitlement Letter from Indian RTO

I have done this. You can apply to your RTO online and get a driver license extract instead. But you would need someone to go and collect the letter from the RTO and mail it to you. I have used this extract in place of entitlement. Once you get this send it to the address along with your original In...

If I remember correctly, your tax credit should come from Revenue website. There you can open a query and state that your tax credit need to be reassessed . Thereafter you can submit your proofs. Processing takes a month's time.

Re: Taxation if spouse is in India or is a student in Ireland

You can get married person single income tax benefit even if your wife is in India. My wife was in India 1 year before and she was not earning . I submitted our marriage certificate, her Indian Pan Card number, an affidavit from a notary that she is not working in India and that she depends on me. U...

Stamp 4 and PhD

Hi, I am on Stamp 4. I would like to pursue a PhD full time. At the end of the day, getting an Irish passport is my top priority, more than my PhD. If I take up the PhD position, would the time I spent on my PhD be counted for the naturalization process. Will I be able to get renewal of my stamp 4? ...

Re: Suggestions needed for house hunting

1) I don't know . 2) I have primarily stayed in BlackRock and Stillorgan all along. I find these two areas to be good but at the same time to be expensive. On the western side of the city I liked Castleknock as well. If you find a proper place in the above three places dont hesitate . 3) Reference l...

Re: Safe area to live

Hi Abhi, I have not been in Dublin for long. Its been more than 1 year. I lived in BlackRock for the past 1 year. The place is excellent in terms of safety and commute to the city center.
