some 'buy to let' apartments may be unfurnished, i will say stay away from them

you might get naturalised by embassy birth certificate, but never get irish passport. You have to get Birth certificate issued by Municipal corporation of India with some registration number on it. Hi Pat,
Kurta pajama will be ok. and comfortable for you to wear.
But keep in mind, Indian don't have a common dress code as such, its large country with different cultures or different type of ceremonies etc.
